So I was on Youtube listening to Mumford&Sons. And then I looked at the sidebar…and found a singer with an odd sounding name. “Soley.” And so I thought her music would be beautiful, which it was. And then I decided to look up the lyrics…and found out the songs were about smashing birds in pockets and having rabbits on heads and drowning and strange things that aren’t real life.

Despite the morbid and strange lyrics…her music is pretty :)

This hits so close to home. That boy was only 11 when he took his life. I can’t imagine losing my 11-year-old brother that way. It’s just so awful.

If you want to change your body through nutrition and exercise to get a thigh gap then go for it, but don’t feel pressured (by yourself or others) to get one to the point where you will go to the extreme measures of starvation or even taking the exercise to the point of exhaustion to get your body weight low enough to get a thigh gap. I can appreciate that every female body is different in terms of shape, so if your body can’t give you this thigh gap the healthy way then it’s probably best to accept your body wasn’t made to have one and be proud of the body you have, thigh gap or not."

I know that thigh gaps are the “in” now, but I don’t think that they are healthy. I’m not going to judge you as a person if that’s what you want, because that’s what I used to want most in the world. Then I kinda gave up obsessing over my weight when I went to Hawaii and I started eating like a normal person again (although, now I only eat when I’m hungry and that’s not often enough). The thing is…is that from the guys I’ve talked to…they don’t like super skinny girls. Anyways, I need to go back to Hawaii because that’s a culture that doesn’t care about weight. Here it seems that it’s a competition to be the next best. The next skinniest, the next richest, the next with the best/most wanted talents, the most popular, the next best trip…just to be the best. That whole psychological competition that happens is what made me a mess before, and if I’m here for too long then I’ll relapse again. Meh.

Poppies. Red poppies.

So, I know I put this on facebook and therefore the world now knows. But they don’t understand how freaking excited I was and still am! I saw poppies! Red freaking poppies! They are so beautiful and I was so so happy! I’m on this adrenaline rush whenever I think about seeing them. The field was all red and then it had specks of black. It was so lovely and so pretty. I was banging on the car window and almost cried with happiness. That was the first time I saw then in person. I cannot wait until next year when I’ll explore the wilderness to find them. I want to touch them and take pictures with them and draw them and paint them. They are the best flower ever!!! :D

Ok….these guys were my absolute favorite ever when I watched Starwars :)

While listening to Mumford and Sons I broke down laughing after realizing something I forget often. The world is ridiculous. Myself included. We all go through out lives focused on ourselves and our lives. The next goal we have, the next place to be. We live off of drama of friends, and feed our emotions off of people we either like or don’t like. We only see what’s in front of us and behind us. Very rarely do we live in the moment cherishing words and looks. Very rarely do we look beyond our lives, beyond the lives of people and see the future. The shining future that we who believe in Jesus have. This isn’t the place we are stuck at. This is just…momentary. A stop before our destination.

Tried so hard to get to bed. When I finally fell asleep, I had all horrible nightmares. Why does this place bring back all the horrible memories and no good memories?
